On December 25, the world will celebrate Christmas: traditionally the day Christians commemorate the birth of Jesus. There is no documented evidence to substantiate the actual date of Jesus's birth. However, the date of His birth is peripheral.
Throughout the Old Testament, beginning in Genesis, scriptures foretell the birth of Jesus. Isaiah prophesied His birth 700 years before it occurred: "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and call him Immanuel."
God so loved us that He gave His only begotten Son, the greatest gift of all.
In the midst of decorating trees, exchanging gifts, singing carols, attending dinner parties, and other yuletide celebrations, remember to adhere to the refrain of the classic Christmas carol, O Come, All Ye Faithful:
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
